FABERGÉ GATWECH – SKX-007 – SEIKO MOD

Fabergé Gatwech is a combination of beautiful extremes.  It was in the roaring twenties that Carl Fabergés’ creation, Rose Gold, hit the US as we were experiencing a decade of excess. Nearly 100 years later a model, Nyakim Gatwech,  hit the US as known as the Queen of the Dark. Two very different times but very similar social, artistic and cultural dynamisms breaking the norms and moving us forward. 

The mod celebrates the beauty of black on black, only differentiated by sheens. Looking through the Sapphire Crystal you will notice the Seiko dial wrapped with a gloss black chapter ring with scored matt second markers. This is surrounded with a ceramic bezel insert that has gloss black finished raised numbers laying on a matt black background.  In the middle of this darkness lays the delicate illumined rose gold hands.

The case, bezel, and crown are elegant rose gold, enveloping all this darkness.

The solid case back is engraved with a bead blasted finish displaying the limited “Bliss design” partnership with AWC Panama.

Holding it on is a vintage-style, faded (genuine) leather watch band with a rose gold buckle that has a condensed leather backing for extra comfort against your skin and durability.
